A light week on the ice for the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association, but a noteworthy one as well. In going 2-0 and winning the Hackett Builders Thanksgiving Tournament, Adrian College has climbed a spot in today's USCHO.com National Poll, coming in at No. 4 - the highest-ever spot for the Bulldogs.Adrian claimed wins of 6-2 over St. John's and 3-1 over Concordia (MN) to move up the spot, and have also received three first-place votes this week. Just eight games on the schedule with the holiday week, as Marian dropped a pair of games to NCHA foes Superior and Stevens Point. Lawrence almost pulled off a huge upset in St. Norbert's tournament, falling just 2-1 to the then-No. 1 Green Knights. Lake Forest was also in non-conference action, falling twice to St. Olaf at home. Players of the Week
-Adrian College Bulldogs junior forward Eric Miller (Erlander, Ky.) is this week's MCHA Player of the Week. He was named team offensive player for the Inaugural Hackett Builders Tournament over the weekend. Miller had two assists in the 6-2 win over St. Johns and the game-winner and an assist in the 3-1 win over Concordia (MN). -Adrian College Bulldogs freshman forward Zach Graham (Palmerston Ontario) had an assist in both games at the Inaugural Hackett Builders Tournament to help him earn MCHA Freshman of the Week honors. His 11 assists puts him first in national statistics and he is second in the nation with 15 points. |

Plenty of storylines remain in place as the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association enters the final month of the regular season. In the Southern Division, Adrian College and MSOE both swept weekend series to remain deadlocked heading down the stretch. The Bulldogs (6-1 and 9-2 winners over Finlandia) and Raiders (2-0 and 4-2 over Lawrence) are now tied at 12-1-1 in MCHA play and, coincidentally, 15-3-1 overall. A head-to-head series to close out the regular season looms the final weekend.
